Session: Next Generation TeraGrid

Event Type: Birds of a Feather

Time: 12:15pm - 1:15pm

Session Chair: Arthur S. Bland

Leader(s): Arthur S. Bland, Edward Seidel

Location: D6

Abstract:
The National Science Foundation (NSF) is providing support for a community-driven, participatory planning process whose goal is to provide information that will help guide the future evolution of TeraGrid. The process is being led by a steering committee drawn from key stakeholder communities. The committee will develop and provide a report to NSF and to stakeholders that identifies options for the definition, design, and implementation of the next generation of the NSF TeraGrid program over the time frame 2010-2015. The goal is to provide preliminary input by February 2008, with a final report delivered by April 2008.

The purpose of this BOF is to invite all individuals and groups with an interest in TeraGrid to learn more about the planning process and to provide ideas and suggestions for topics and priorities important to the next generation TeraGrid.
